Designing FFXIV Houses
I started playing XIV shortly before the launch of Endwalker. I fell in love with housing after purchasing my first apartment and realizing the freedom I had to design and decorate! I've always loved architecture and interior design. I used to sketch floor plans on graph paper before the internet (yes I just aged myself)!
More About Me
Cooking
I love to cook! I have an innate sense for herbs and spices so I rarely measure anything when I'm cooking. Baking, however, is more of a science and most things need to be precisely measured (except chocolate chips)!
Singing
I sing every day. No, really! This obsession started quite young when I would vocalize in the bath just to hear the sounds echo. My mother thought it was beautiful, and when I showed a more serious interest as I got older she enrolled me in professional lessons. By the end of my training I was singing opera! I've performed on stage a number of times, and I would love to turn this passion into a more serious hobby or even a career!
Animals
Creatures of all shapes and sizes have a special place in my heart. I live with an 11-year-old cat, and a 10 year old dog at the moment, but I've always had pets, even snakes and horses!
I believe we need to protect animals and I advocate strongly for their welfare.
I have volunteered closely with no-kill cat and dog rescue organizations. My favorite thing to do is foster litters of kittens! At one point, I had 11 cats and two dogs in a two-bedroom apartment. I scooped a lot of cat litter during those days!
Motto
"You don't have to be friends with everyone, but you can be friendly to them." I saw this poster in a workplace years ago and it's stuck with me. It's become my motto in life because everyone has struggled or is struggling with something. Why add more stress to life when we could just be nice to each other instead?
